Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

Clara Beth is 11 Months Old!

Clara Beth is now 11 months old! She weighs 14 lb. 10 oz. and is 29 in. long. She's only one month away from having her first birthday. I have a hard time believing my little girl could be this old already. But it's happening, so I just better hang on for the ride.
This past month her big accomplishment was walking. I love watching her wobble around the house, it is by far one of the cutest things I have ever seen. I know a few weeks from now when I'm chasing her around while she gets into everything I might change my mind but for now it's cute.
Love this picture!

She is getting better about entertaining herself which is a welcome milestone. She will sit in her car seat without the constant crying now which is an even more welcome milestone.

I'm pretty sure she was sticking her tongue out at me here. We still have no teeth to speak of but with all the drooling that's been going on we're sure they aren't far off.

If you notice all the toys in the background that is her favorite spot to be besides the bathroom which she gets  in trouble for. She loves pulling them all out and throwing them behind her.

Hanging out with her daddy! She's really becoming a little Daddy's girl.  I don't mind at all I love watching them together it makes me love them even more and realize what a wonderful family I have.

4'th of July

This year for Clara Beth's first 4'th of July we went to visit my grandparents in Tulsa. On the day before the 4'th we went to Rhema's big firework show with my Uncle Russell, Aunt Tammy, and my two cousins Emily and Callie.

A group shot of all of us.
Scott took this picture and it is probably the best one we have of Clara Beth and I.
Playing with Daddy waiting for the fireworks to start. Scott tried to take pictures of the fireworks but we couldn't get it to do right so no pictures of them.
The next day the whole family went over to my uncles to eat and watch more fireworks.

Clara Beth had so much fun walking around checking out everything Pappaw had to show her.

Clara Beth's first 4'th was a good one, although I'm sure my Grandparents hope she sleeps a little more next time she comes to visit.

I See You!

While I'm really not sure what got Clara Beth doing this I'm going to have to say I'm glad she did. I really needed the comic relief while I was cleaning up our apartment.

I'm a little embarrassed to post these because as I looked at them I realized one of her snaps wasn't even buttoned, besides the fact that I was cheating and not using cloth diapers that day. Lol
So disregard all of that and just enjoy the fact that Clara Beth is looking at you upside down through her legs.

Clara Beth is 10 Months Old!

Clara Beth is now 10 months old! It's hard to believe my little girl is only two months away from turning one!  She weighs 14 lb. 6 oz. and is 29 in. long. She is still wearing 3-6 month clothes which amazes me, she's so little and petite. She has been really sick this week and still isn't feeling great, so we opted to do our photo shoot in pajamas instead of getting dressed up.

Even though she's sick we still got a few smiles.  This past month Clara Beth weaned herself and decided she was to big for baby food. Her favorite things to eat besides sweets are oatmeal, chicken, sweet peas, and squash. She is also completely addicted to crackers!

She started standing up all by herself this past month, and we are thinking it wont be long till she walks.

She also discovered the piano and loves to bang away on it while serenading us with her version of singing. I know we are her parent's but Scott and I find this to be way to cute.

Clara Beth has changed so much this past month, we are really enjoying watching her grow
 into a little lady.

Fathers Day!

This was Scott's first Fathers day as a Daddy. The only pictures I got are of him and Clara Beth cuddling that morning but they are good ones so I don't feel bad at all.

I think someone loves their Daddy very much!

Clara Beth eating Ice Cream

Clara Beth loves and I mean loves anything sweet but her favorite is probably ice cream. I don't think these pictures need any more words than that.

Clara Beth is 9 Months Old!

Clara Beth is now 9 months old. She weighs 14 lb. 4 oz. and is 28 in. long. We got so busy this month I didn't get the monthly photos of her all dressed up and I am really mad at myself for it. We do have pictures but instead of her all dressed up she's eating peas.
This past month she has taken to cruising along the furniture and gets around very well. She absolutely loves to pull all the dvd's off the shelf, watch me put them up then do it all over again.
She is eating very well now and has discovered she can eat crackers all by herself. Every time I give her one she grins so big and gets so excited.
She has mastered the sippy cup and must have it everywhere she goes.

Her curiosity got the best of her this month and no one liked the consequences. She pulled a vase down on the floor, broke it, fell on top of it, and sliced the side of her little pinkey finger. So a trip to the doctor, two stitches, and much crying later by Clara Beth and Mommy, everything was all better. We we're very impressed by how well she handled it all she didn't even let it slow her down. We have decided we have one tough little girl.

Camping

While the weather was still nice and not to hot, we decided to go on our first camping trip as a family of three plus Nathan. We we're a little worried about how Clara Beth would do but she was great the whole time. When we got there we of course had to unpack everything and we had a lot to unpack! When your taking an eight month old camping you need a lot of stuff.
Scott and Nathan busy unloading the firewood. Well Scott is anyways.

After we got everything set up Scott and Nathan got busy hanging Scott's version of a chandelier, which we called the redneck chandelier. What can I say my husband is a genius and I honestly mean that.

While we we're busy setting up, Clara Beth sat and watched in her borrowed walker.
Clara Beth loved hanging out with her Uncle Nathan all week.

Clara Beth and I got stuck in the cage but we we're having lots of fun.

I had to put these up I thought it was so cute how she was peeking out of the tent.

We had lots of fun on our trip and hope to do it every year. I don't know if Nathan and Clara Beth can handle it though, they we're both exhausted when we got home.

Clara Beth's First Easter

This was Clara Beth's first Easter. It is an amazing thing to know that we are celebrating our Christ rising from the grave on Easter! We don't want to do the Easter bunny or anything like that but we don't see any problem with Clara Beth getting a basket from us or hunting eggs on Easter. As long as she realizes that's not what Easter is all about.

Daddy and I got to make her a basket and fill it with little things and this is what it looked like before she ripped into it. No candy yet but that will come soon enough.

As you can see she was more interested in the grass then anything else.
After we got all the grass out of her mouth, we got her to put her hat on for a picture.

Then she started eating the grass again. Maybe next year she will enjoy her basket a little more.
