Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

Leah's last Nationals!

My little sister played in her last National  Homeschool Basketball Tournament last week! She played all week long but we only made it to the championship game on Saturday. We didn't tell her or my mom we were coming so they were both surprised to see us. I have a sneaking suspicion they were more excited to see Clara Beth then me, Scott, or my brother Nathan. HaHa! We had fun watching Leah play and my mom coach though.

My mom and Leah in the huddle.

Scott looks happy to be there Nathan not so much.
Now Nathan looks happy and Scott doesn't. It is impossible to get a good picture with those two!

Leah and her team played a good game and won the 1a National Championship.
                 1a National Champs!
Clara Beth spent some time with one of our friends from Leah's team. I cant thank her enough for watching Clara Beth for Scott and I while we practiced with Leah's team this year.

Leah looks so happy that she won!

March Trip

Last weekend we went on a short trip.My sister was playing in the National Homeschool Basketball Tournament in Springfield so we stayed in Branson the night before. My brother Nathan even came with us. Our hotel had a swimming pool so we decided it was time for Clara Beth's first time to go swimming. She was not a fan! Every time the water came above her knees she would make the most horrible face and start crying. Poor baby! So Scott and I took turns holding Clara Beth and swimming, she was perfectly content to sit and watch.

We managed to get some pictures of her not crying.

You can't tell because of her cute swimsuit (Thanks to my mom for getting it for her!) but the little swimmers came up to her chest. Maybe by actual swimming weather they will fit her a little better.

Hopefully she will learn to enjoy it because Scott and I love to swim.

The next day we went to the Bass Pro Shop because everyone knows if you are near a Bass Pro you have to go no matter what.
Daddy is always willing to push the stroller. He's such a good Husband and Dad!
Clara Beth was not to impressed with Bass Pro but we got some good pictures anyways.
I'm pretty sure Clara Beth wishes we would stop going all the time so she wont have to sit in her carseat so much. Thankfully she is getting better about it though, she spends less and less time crying when in it.

Clara Beth Is 7 Months Old!

Clara Beth is now seven months old! She weighs 14 lb. 3 oz. and is still 26 in. long.
This month she started crawling and has become very good at getting around. She is pulling up on anything and everything she can get her hands on, and is starting to wave bye bye to us. She babbles more and more everyday and its starting to sound more like she's trying to talk.

Last month I said she liked everything we had given her to eat so far, well not anymore she doesn't like any fruits except for apples, strawberries, and bananas only if they are mixed with strawberries. Her favorite foods are strawberry banana yogurt and baby cereal mixed with apple juice.
Her favorite toys right now are her pink rubber ducky and her books.

She is a happier baby the older she gets and loves to sit and crawl in the floor with all her toys.
We love her more everyday and cant imagine life without our little squirt as Daddy calls her.

Clara Beth is crawling!

Three day's after Clara Beth turned six months old she crawled for the first time. I had told Scott that I bet she would crawl before she was six months old, so I guess she just had to prove me wrong.....Haha!
I got her crawling after my phone on our video camera so I thought I would share.

I also got some good pictures. Please excuse all of her toys all over the floor.

This month she also started pulling up. She started by pulling up in her crib but now I have to watch her like a hawk because anything she can reach she tries to pull up on. Which in our small apartment could be quite disastrous.

She loves to chew on her crib.

Bye Bye Bassinet

Now that Clara Beth is six months old and growing like a weed. She has outgrown her bassinet and now sleeps in her crib in her own room. It's only right across the hall but to me it seems so very far away! We're adjusting  fine though it just took some getting used to.

Here's some pictures of her in her bassinet when she was only two weeks old.
My how she's changed and grown up.
