Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

Clara Beth is 9 Months Old!

Clara Beth is now 9 months old. She weighs 14 lb. 4 oz. and is 28 in. long. We got so busy this month I didn't get the monthly photos of her all dressed up and I am really mad at myself for it. We do have pictures but instead of her all dressed up she's eating peas.
This past month she has taken to cruising along the furniture and gets around very well. She absolutely loves to pull all the dvd's off the shelf, watch me put them up then do it all over again.
She is eating very well now and has discovered she can eat crackers all by herself. Every time I give her one she grins so big and gets so excited.
She has mastered the sippy cup and must have it everywhere she goes.

Her curiosity got the best of her this month and no one liked the consequences. She pulled a vase down on the floor, broke it, fell on top of it, and sliced the side of her little pinkey finger. So a trip to the doctor, two stitches, and much crying later by Clara Beth and Mommy, everything was all better. We we're very impressed by how well she handled it all she didn't even let it slow her down. We have decided we have one tough little girl.

Camping

While the weather was still nice and not to hot, we decided to go on our first camping trip as a family of three plus Nathan. We we're a little worried about how Clara Beth would do but she was great the whole time. When we got there we of course had to unpack everything and we had a lot to unpack! When your taking an eight month old camping you need a lot of stuff.
Scott and Nathan busy unloading the firewood. Well Scott is anyways.

After we got everything set up Scott and Nathan got busy hanging Scott's version of a chandelier, which we called the redneck chandelier. What can I say my husband is a genius and I honestly mean that.

While we we're busy setting up, Clara Beth sat and watched in her borrowed walker.
Clara Beth loved hanging out with her Uncle Nathan all week.

Clara Beth and I got stuck in the cage but we we're having lots of fun.

I had to put these up I thought it was so cute how she was peeking out of the tent.

We had lots of fun on our trip and hope to do it every year. I don't know if Nathan and Clara Beth can handle it though, they we're both exhausted when we got home.
